How to see who viewed your Facebook story if you're not friends with them

Facebook stories are a way for users to keep their friends up-to-date on their lives. They allow people to post photos and videos that disappear after 24 hours. Users can also tag friends or add them as an audience member to make sure they see the story. If you’re like many Facebook users, you may be wondering how to see if someone viewed your story.
Keeping track of who views your stories can be important if you use them as a way to share secrets with specific friends. Friends won’t know that you can see if they viewed your story unless you become friends with them first. However, there are a few ways you can find out if someone viewed your story without becoming their friend first.
Check your notifications
If you notice that someone has viewed your story, you may see a notification on your profile. If you have notifications on for story views, you’ll see a little paper airplane icon in the top right corner of your Facebook profile. Click the airplane button, and you’ll be able to see who viewed your story.
When you click on the notification, you’ll be able to see who viewed your story, when they viewed it, and if they left a comment on your story. Notifications for story views are only possible when you’re friends with the person who views your story. If you don’t see the notification, you’ll need to use another method to find out if someone viewed your story.
Track who viewed your story through email notifications
If you and another user are friends, you may also receive an email notification when they view your story. Emails for story views work in the same way as the notifications on your Facebook profile. You’ll receive an email if the person who views your story is also your friend.
When you receive an email notification, you’ll be able to see when the person viewed your story and if they commented on it. If you don’t receive an email notification, the person may have turned off story email notifications.
To turn these notifications on, open the Facebook app and click the three dots in the top right corner of your profile. Click Account Settings and then click Notifications. On the Notifications page, find Story Views, then click to turn the notifications on. You can also turn story email notifications on by clicking the same three dots, selecting Account Settings, and then selecting Notifications.
See who viewed your story with a Facebook search
If you want to see who viewed your story without receiving an email notification, there are a few different ways to track this information. One way is to search for the person’s name in Facebook. To do this, open the Facebook app and search for the person’s name. Look at the date next to their name and see if it is recent.
If the date is recent, it’s likely that they viewed your story recently. If you want to know if they viewed your story in particular, you can click the down arrow next to their name. When you click the down arrow, you’ll see all the stories they’ve viewed.
Find out if someone viewed your story by looking at their profile
Another way to see if someone viewed your story is to look at their profile. To check out their profile, open the Facebook app and search for their name. When you see their name in the search bar, tap on it and open their profile.
Next, tap on the name of the person who viewed your story and look at the dates below the post. You’re likely to see a date that’s close to the day you published your story. If you see a date that’s several days before you published the story, someone might have viewed your story but didn’t comment on it. However, you can’t be completely sure that they viewed your story unless you know for sure that they read your story.
See who’s currently watching your Facebook story
If you want to know who’s currently viewing your story, you can click the down arrow next to your story’s name. On the sidebar that appears, click See Who’s Watching. A box will appear with a list of people currently viewing your story.
You can use this list to see if the person who’s viewing your story is someone you know or a stranger. If the person is someone you know, you can send them a direct message and ask them why they’re watching your story. If they’re a stranger, you can report them as inappropriate.
If you’re friends with the person who viewed your story, you may notice that they turn green when you click the See Who’s Watching section. This means that you’re currently watching their story. If you notice that the person is watching your story, you can also click See Who’s Watching to see which of your friends are currently viewing your story. This can help you find ways to interact with your followers better.
If you want to know who viewed your story, you can use these methods to find out. However, keep in mind that these methods only work when the person who viewed your story is your friend. If you aren’t friends with the person who viewed your story, you won’t be able to find out who it was unless they commented on your story.
If you want to make sure that people can’t see when you view their story, you can go to Account Settings and click Privacy, and then click View as. This will allow you to toggle off the View As setting, and the person won’t be able to see when you view their story.
